Sweet Gift-Giver

This is one of those sweet, sweet moments that happens with little kids. Ashley and Scott's little boy, Derrin, has a toy cell phone that Ashley let Mia play with. The toy phone was left at the campground when they left that evening. When they came back to the campground the next day after his mom and dad got off work, Derrin had a cute little cell phone toy for Mia.

Mia was eating some Cheerios from the tray of her stroller and Scott told Derrin he had to wait until Mia was done eating to give her the phone. Derrin was all too willing to help Mia finish off her snacks and then give her the gift. :-)

Mia's Meet and Greet

Mia had so much fun meeting and greeting lots of fun new faces during our travels. There was always someone around to give her lots of love and attention and she was eating it up! :-)

Breaking Camp

It took a bit of time to get things broken down and packed up. We had been there just a few days (arrived Thursday and left Sunday) but Zena and Heather and everyone had been at the campground all week.

Swimming

Swimming at Uncle Clyde's house was a lot of fun ... at least for TJei. Mia wasn't liking it too much even when Aunt Denise tried to snuggle with her and cousin, Nicole, tried to coax her along.

That daring little TJei was soaking it all up though and she was having a great time with cousin, Bella!

Kalahari Day 1

On the first day at Kalahari I didn't even catch a glimpse of Heather and Julius, or Demitrius and Bert, or even of Mike and Quentin! Everyone was off having fun and the waterpark is so large there's little chance of running into one another.

Kalahari Day 2

On the second day at Kalahari, Julius, Heather, Dimitrius, Isabella, and Bert had to return to Toledo so it was just Mike and I with Quentin, TJei, Mia, Zena, Britenee and Kalee at the waterpark. Like the day before, there was so much fun to be had ... but it sure was hot this second day!

Kalahari

Woohoo! I've been hearing about this new African themed water park in Sandusky for a little while now. The fam has gone there a couple times and I've been sad that I couldn't go along when they were going. It is going to be great - while we are in Ohio the fam is going to Kalahari and (foot stomping excitement) we'll be able to go, too! Woohoo!

Awesome, awesome ... I just know Quentin is going to love the indoor surf and boogie board feature of this huge water park!

I've heard there are plans to put a water park in Mesa, near the new River Bottom shopping area - oh my gosh, I hope they do ... and I hope it is something comparable to Kalahari!
