Good Day For A Dive

Summer fun...it has been so good to spend time with the girls at the park and pool this summer. :)

Rains Came Down

The wood on the porch took on an interesting, artistic look during today's downpour. We received a much needed, much welcomed drenching. Everything is so fresh and green. :)

Run-off from the roof...it too takes on an interesting look when backed by the cedar tree in front of the house.

Lunch Time

A carne asada burro from Speedy B's is what I wanted but I settled for a salad at home. I probably need to be eating salad far more often than I do. Okay, and for all of you who are curious...It was intentional that I didn't slice the egg. I just picked it up and ate it, bite after bite, without setting it back down on the plate between bites. :)

A Great Day For A Blessing

Today was a special day. Jodie had made plans for Mia to be blessed today and it is so good to know she now has a record in the church. I am so glad Jodie did the planning and follow-thru to make sure Mia was in fact blessed on this day.

TJei was a mouse or something when she greeted us on arrival. :)

Look at all that hair! Mia's hair is so thick.

Mia was having fun with Uncle Quentin. So glad he could come up. :)

Uncle Quentin was having fun with Mia, too~!

Bishop Jackson blessed Mia and after she shook hands all
around, she hopped down from that chair and ran for hugs. :)

Sweet little Daphne, the first picture I've gotten of her in a long time. :)
Still haven't gotten a picture of Davis lately. He stayed off to himself
with so many people around. Turkey.

Elder Sypher (today's his birthday) and Elder Gunter were there' too. :)

Jodie with both girls. Thanks, Jod. It was a nice get-together and the taco soup was good. :)

I don't remember why TJei was crying but I told her I wanted a picture and couldn't take
one with her crying. She immediately stopped crying and flashed a smile. What a character! :)

Three of the six girls. Sure wish the others could have been here, too.

Missing the others bunches. :(

Changes

Over the years I've given my kids, especially my boys, a tough time about their reluctance to adapt to change. Each of them have their own way of incorporating change into their lives and routines. The two older are far less flexible than the two younger. John is much more like me, panic to the point of becoming ill at times when even thinking about changes. Quentin is probably the most like Mike, laid back and willing to adapt to whatever change is needed. Still, change is difficult.

Still, change is oftentimes needed. For one reason or another. And one way or another, I'll adapt...even if my tummy does flip-flops. Good thing it's summertime~! :)

Rinsing Off

The kids are rinsing off after a swim session. Little Davis has a long way to go to catch up on those tans. :)

What A Trio

These three little ones are such characters! They have so much fun together playing at the pool. Poor little Davis has to settle for showering with the girls but I don't thnk he notices any differences just yet. :) I am loving this time with Davis & Daphne up here. It has been so much fun with him at the pool and at the park. It has been so nice. :)

Look What I Found

Mike was having fun shaowing a snake to the girls. You'll note, there are no pictures of them near the snake, it wasn't going to happen. We think it was just a little garden snake and Mike is pretty sure it had been coiled up inside Lee's empty water dish, probably all day. When Jodie added water to the dish, the snake came out. The water dish had been empty because Lee was at the vet's all day...being neutered.

He's doing good, too. Although, I've no idea why this picture keeps rotating during the upload. :}

Pretty in Pink

Such a darling! I was able to visit with this little sweetie for a few minutes on Friday after getting into town. She was leaving with her mommy to go celebrate her great-grandfather's birthday in Pima. She has grown so much! And, in just that little bit of time before she left, she said "mommy" and she rolled over...front to back, back to front and did a bunch of scooting although it wasn't really a crawl. Just lots of movement getting ready to crawl. :) She now weighs 18 pounds and is 27-1/2 inches tall. :)

Pretty Plaids

I love plaids! Especially bright, colorful plaids like those pictured above. Usually, reds and greens, Christmas-y type plaids come to mind ...it was so fun to see all of these plaids, from pastels to bold colors, at JC Penney's yesterday. Some of them just insisted on coming home with me. :)

Early Morning

The sweetest faces to adorn the morning! We stayed the night at Jacob and Maria's and I was able to take advantage of the early morning hours for a bit of   g r a n d   time.

Cheesy

Okay, they got me. Here I was trying so hard to keep my eyes open out there in that bright sunlight and mustering a smile, too. Then, when all is said and done, the two of them are making these cheesy faces! Oh what fun...reminds me of the pic with Quentin and Jacob! :)
