Pet Peeve

Okay, this drives me batty! This truck was just ahead of me outside Concho and just aggravated the daylights of me...It is definitely a pet-peeve of mine to see a vehicle of an Arizona resident - in this case Arizona business - with out of state tags!

It is so irresponsible...and should be so illegal. Actually, it is a violation of law, just the laws aren't appropriately enforced! I mean how tough is it for anyone to see that's a Phoenix area phone number for that business and California tags? Huh? Why so difficult to spot and ticket?

In our area, there are soooo many people with New Mexico plates. Fine. They have property in New Mexico. That isn't where they live and attend school, etc. Their vehicles should be licensed where they live. That is the law. That is also the tax basis for the rest of us...those fees and costs are what provides funds for our state and county. When some aren't paying in those of us paying are responsible for a higher portion and realize lower benefits.

It is especially frustrating - and aggravating - to see Mormons and otherwise responsible people taking the cheap (crooked) way out by paying lower fees to register vehicles in New Mexico when they actually live in Arizona.

That's my view and I'm sticking to it.

Terrific Pic

Oh what fun! I just love being able to catch little glimpses of this wonderful area where we live. Getting a scene into a frame is a bit testy at times but oh so worth it. What do you think? Do you like this pic?

The timing couldn't have been better for catching this scene as I drove just outside town. I had to turn and go back just to capture the image.

Did you spot what makes it so special?

Still haven't figured it out?

Nope, not yet? Take a look at these crops from that pic above and see if you can spot the antelope staring back at you above.

Okay. So that one's not staring back...it just isn't paying attention at all. :)

This one is definitely staring me down!

And this one is showing some apprehension.

This is the real trickster...it's hiding out behind that fence post!

Big Time Oatmeal

This little gal likes her oatmeal a whole bunch!

Her mom had made oatmeal and left the pan within reach. ---Luckily it was fully cooled---Mia took the entire pan from the stove and took it in to the coffee table where she could reach into it a bit easier.

I just love this little gal!

Truck Returned

We got the truck back and it is looking good. :)

Mike and I both have been a bit skeptical but so far all is well...hope it stays that way! :)

This Day

My little one has been in my thoughts all day. He's in my thoughts often but on this day he's been there the entire day.

Mini Album

Lori and her son Zack were baptized into the Church recently and I made this little mini album with pictures of them with the missionaries and brief little "new member" type quotes from apostles and other sources.

When I gave it to her during a visit I knew that it meant a lot to her that someone had taken time to do this for her.

I am so grateful for the ability to do for others.

Valentine's Surprise

As I headed out the door for meetings early on Saturday morning, I was surprised by a neighbor Chris walking up the sidewalk with a beautiful arrangement of flowers for me.

Oh, I love being greeted by Chris in the chapel on Sunday's and hearing his, "Hello, Mam, you doin' okay" which is nearly always followed up with, "How's Jacob, Mam?"

For years now, no matter how hurried I am, I always stop and greet Chris as he's walking his little dog Beethoven whether it be here in front of the house or on any of the other roads he walks along. It takes only a moment...he is always, "Fine. Doin' fine, Mam. How's Jacob, Mam?" whenever I ask.

I love my neighbors.

I love Chris.

I love Jacob for being such a good friend to Chris as they were growing up.

So Far Behind

Oh my gosh, it is so easy to fall behind! I have bunches of cute pictures and interesting things to say (ha!) and just need the time to get it done. Right now...Roosevelt is on my mind. I love spending time with my family!

Just The Cutest!

I think I've created a monster. :) Mia hurt her finger and came crying to Grandma for help. Instead of the expected, "I need a band-aid, Momma" I heard the words, "Take a picture, Momma." Too cute!

Park Visitors

While at the park with the little ones, Steve and Margret happened by so I was able to get a picture of them to make copies he could share with his family.

And, of course, their little sweetie Kalaya. She's adorable!

TJei and Peja

Peja and Tjei have been best friends for a long, long time. Remember this post?>>>

Peja and her family are relocating to Tucson this weekened and Peja came over to play with TJei after school on Friday. I told Mike after her mom and little brother left that it sounded like Anthony had wanted to stay, too. When I tool Peja home, I asked her mom and she said yes...Anthony had cried, "I want to play with TJei, too" and raised a stink about leaving.

I made plans to pick up Anthony and Peja the next day to have time at the park for playing. He was a happy camper! The girls were, too! There are more pictures of their outing on TJei's blog>>> We're all going to miss those little cuties!

A Smooch

These two little girls are so cute at times. They do some of the funniest things spontaniously. Here they're posing when they see a camera in Grandma's hand.

Then, you can see in her eyes, even Mia is surprised by TJei's next move. :)

Vocabulary

TJei has an impressive vocabulary of words and she has a really good grasp of language for being only five years old. That's what made a recent moment of excitement so unique. She had been playing in the back yard and began squealing as she ran to the front.

"Grandma, look. I found two bulls. Aren't they pretty?"

I'm not sure how she lost the "mar" portion of marBULLS. :)

Play Park

Thank you, Baylee girl! It was so much fun spending time with you at the play park! I ♥ You. :)

You did such a good job tossing that sand around...and not getting it into your eyes!
