Dance Practice

The girls are taking dance classes with Tara Crosby, Precision Dance, and they love being out there performing. In these pictures they are at the SJHS football field learning their line-up for the performance tomorrow during half-time of the Lady Redskins soccer game.

Pictures At The Park

We went to the park this morning to take pictures of the girls. I was trying to get a picture of Mia to use for her birthday celebration announcements. There's a bunch of cute ones to choose from. :)

And, we had fun along with taking pictures. :)

Corrals

TJei and Mia are so infatuated with horses! They are always spotting Black Beauty or Flicka or other horses as we ride along in the vehicle. Having the fairground corrals so close to the house doesn't do me any favors, either. They are always asking to go see the horses. On this day, that's just what we did. I turned in at the corrals and the girls went through admiring all the horses and checking out the colts. They looked so cute as they scaled those rail gates to get a better view. :)

The Grandma In Me

Okay, so it just may be the Grandma in me, or not. I wish I had been able to snap a picture of her before she turned and caught me taking a picture. This is just so totally Mia...look close. She is wearing flip-flops (sandals) with some little yoga pants. Her hair is done up and styled with a flower. She is carrying a little straw purse with pink lining. Pay extra attention to how she is carrying that purse, on the tips of her fingers. :)

All this just to walk up to the corner with me to meet the school bus! She's a sweetie!~ :)

First Day of School

TJei is all smiles on her first day of school. Mia has a bit of apprehension although she is terribly curious about this thing called school. She still has a wait though. :)

A Great Day For A Blessing

Today was a special day. Jodie had made plans for Mia to be blessed today and it is so good to know she now has a record in the church. I am so glad Jodie did the planning and follow-thru to make sure Mia was in fact blessed on this day.

TJei was a mouse or something when she greeted us on arrival. :)

I don't remember why TJei was crying but I told her I wanted a picture and couldn't take
one with her crying. She immediately stopped crying and flashed a smile. What a character! :)

Rinsing Off

The kids are rinsing off after a swim session. Little Davis has a long way to go to catch up on those tans. :)

What A Trio

These three little ones are such characters! They have so much fun together playing at the pool. Poor little Davis has to settle for showering with the girls but I don't thnk he notices any differences just yet. :) I am loving this time with Davis & Daphne up here. It has been so much fun with him at the pool and at the park. It has been so nice. :)

Cheesy

Okay, they got me. Here I was trying so hard to keep my eyes open out there in that bright sunlight and mustering a smile, too. Then, when all is said and done, the two of them are making these cheesy faces! Oh what fun...reminds me of the pic with Quentin and Jacob! :)

Shivering

The clouds moved in and a breeze swept through the air after swim classes today. The girls were shivering as they waited in line for lunch. This summer at the park, the school is providing breakfast and lunch for all children under 18 through some sort of grant apparently. It works well for us, TJei's swim class starts at 9:20am so we go early and the kids eat breakfast before class. Then, Mia's class finishes at 11:30. We stay in the pool and TJei joins us for about 30-45 minutes in the Tot Swim session. So, it is a bit after noon when we finish up ...just in time for lunch! :)

Except today. It was chilly. They endured though. So did I. :)

I Dream of Jeannie

Mia loves the two outfits from India that Sis. Patel gave her. They are so cute on her! :)

Her pose is just too funny. I love this little gal so much!

Summer Reading

The girls love to "read" books, or have books read to them. Today we went to the library and signed up for the summer reading program. And TJei is now old enough for her very own library card! Talk about excited. :)

The girls had fun listening to stories and playing games on the computers, too. I love that the library has a row of computers just for little kids. :)

Mia brought a chuckle throughout the library too. Wearing headphones to listen to the adventure, she suddenly called out to "warn" Dora not to go that way. LOL I was on the other side of the computers so could see across the library when it happened. Even the librarians were chuckling, knowing what had happened.

New Home

Can you say excited? These little girls are so excited to be moving into their own home and having their own rooms! And we are so excited for them!




These are the new trundle beds (new for them) for their rooms. We lucked out on this purchase! Jodie just happened to log onto Craig's List and an ad had been placed shortly before. Someone in Lakeside was selling two complete trundle bed sets at an attractive price. Mike and I stopped by to see the beds and the lady said she had kept them for Jodie to check out first-she had many other calls about them. I'm so glad we were able to go by soon-the beds are so nice!


The dollhouse now has a new home-out of our living room. :)


Still lots of toys and odds and ends to get sorted!

The trundles will work out nice when they have friends stay over. :)


The kitcken is compact but efficient...even a dishwasher! Don't I wish?????? No microwave though. :(



The living room is good-sized although a bit sparse right now.


I am really glad Jodie and the girls have been able to get into this place. There is plenty of room and lots of storage. There is a little playground in the complex and it has benches so an adult can stay with the girls while they play. They need to be in their own place. We needed that.

In The Morning

Davis was enjoying Grandpa's struggles to get shoes on him...



And sweet little Daphne was dazzling in her yellow shirt and blue jean skirt. I love her flower headband!



Her shoes didn't stay on long though! :P



Grandpa introduced TJei to jumping rope and she has a new fascination now. He had the rope tied onto the back of his pick-up truck parked in Jacob's driveway.



TJei did her lion impersonation to emphasize the fact she didn't want to leave.



Mia wanted to stay, too. She was so sad to leave her little cousins. :(

Playing Together

Mike and I spent the evening visiting at Jacob and Maria's home and enjoyed our time with them and with the children. Quentin and Felicia came over with Jayden and we had TJei and Mia with us.

Look at that gaze! Daphne has piercing blue eyes and a poker face; it's hard to read what she may be thinking! :)



While looking through pictures recently, I couldn't help but notice there are several pictuures of Mia holding or otherwise engaging one of her younger cousins...she loves these little ones so very much! We love you too, Mia.



Felicia shares a laugh with Jayden but it looks like Jayden isn't real sure on the matter.

Davis had a good time wobbling around on a pair of Aubrey's little play heels left at their house. He looks so cute in his little whale jammies and high heels. Just goes ot show, he'd be cute in anything! :)
