I am so aggravated with Kiddie Kandids! Back in December Jodie and I had taken the girls to Kiddie Kandids at Arrowhead Mall to have their pictures taken for the holidays. The girls looked so sweet ... the pictures were anything but sweet. Color balance was completely off and the pictures had to be lightened tremendously to get some semblance of usable likeness. As a result, the dresses and backgrounds were washed of color and their skin tones had a dark greenish tone. 
Consider, for example, the image at right taken by me and the image to the left taken by Kiddie Kandids. TJei was wearing the same dress in both pictures.When all was said and done, I purchased the pictures - although I didn't like the quality at all - because it was so very close to the holidays and we didn't have another photo op to fall back on. I wanted to get pictures of the girls to send to family and friends.
After the order was completed, and money had been paid, we learned the framed picture would be delivered at a later date and we'd have to come back to the studio to pick it up. As indicated, we returned two weeks later -the picture wasn't in and would be "backordered" because they had run out of the frames. ??? We were given yet another date to return and pick-up the framed picture - still no go, there were delays with the supplier.
Eventually, the first of March I contacted corporate headquarters for Kiddie Kandids and was told the framed picture would be at the studio on or before March 7th. The customer service rep I talked with said we would be given a three sheet photo session compliments of KK for the inconvenience. Again, we waited.
On March 19th, Jodie went to Kiddie Kandids studio at Arrowhead and - behold - the picture was not there, again! This was getting quite frustrating. I talked with Bethany at the store and she said she'd check into the matter for me. A short while later, she returned my call and told me the picture had been shipped UPS and should arrive at the store that day. What? It was supposed to have been there on/before March 7th! Then, she tells me the picture had been sent but the frame was damaged so it was returned to the main offices to be replaced. I asked about the three page complimentary certificate and was told it had been mailed to the address on record - of course, that would be John and Kelly's address ... Kiddie Kandid apparently thought it would be too much of an inconvenience to have two people with the same last name at two different addresses so they just added our session under John and Kelly's record, and address. So, that means, the certificates for free sheets of pictures were sent to them ... along with an apology they didn't have a clue about. It totally wouldn't be cool/fair for me to get that certificate from Kelly, she was expecting to use it. It was just numbskulled for KK to have added Jodie's session under Kelly's name.
Now, today, Jodie calls. She has finally been able to get back to the Kiddie Kandid studio and the picture is finally in. Surprise, surprise! The frame is not at all the silver colored frame that I'd ordered, it is completely different. What a disappointment.
UPDATE: I saw the picture and frame yesterday (3/25) while at Jodie's. The frame is definitely not silver, it is an antique gold color. ugh!
