Long Ago T-ball

Here are a couple of those old day t-ball pictures that I found the other day. Jodie was playing t-ball on a backyard plastic game set. John was playing an actual game. Check out the footwork on that boy!

Last T-ball Day

Today was the last day of t-ball season and it has been a lot of fun. TJei had a personally good day getting a hit and making good stops on two other hits. Way to go, TJei!

We appreciate all the time and effort Missy has put in as coach of this little team. Thank you for giving that time! And take note everyone, TJei was not the most girly-girl on the team. Check out that middle picture. Yep, flip-flops with bling for the game! :-)

She's Consistent

TJei hasn't quite figured out a batting tecnique that works. She has a consistent swing, too late to make contact with the ball. :-(

Her team is green but they haven't gotten their uniform shirts yet. We've discovered TJei doesn't have many green clothes and this bright green helps spot her easily on the field. :-)

T-ball Season

It's been a long time since t-ball was part of our spring routine but we're off to another exciting season of youth sports with TJei taking to the ball field. :-)

Our little social flutterby demonstrated all the stereotypical behaviors of a first time ball player by leaving the playing field to visit friends along the fence line, tackling her third-base friend when he got the ball (seriously, one of the coach helpers had to pull her off and tell her it is baseball, not football), picking dandelions and blowing the seeds to the wind, having her back to the action much of the time, skipping across the playing field hand-in-hand with a little friend - who wasn't playing ball - and all the other little antics that make t-ball so very entertaining! It was a classic!
