Crazy Cold

It's a New Year and that's exciting but this cold is just crazy!

It is freezing. Not just outdoors but here in the house, too. This is by far the coldest I've known here on our area, or at least coldest I can recall it ever being.

We have a woodstove downstairs and that is our only source of heat in the house. It get chilly somewhat often but this is way beyond chilly. My toes are icy, my fingers are numb...it won't be much longer and I'll be going downstairs and camping out in front of the stove! That's never even crossed my mind before. It may be a matter of survival today!

Mike called a little bit ago...it is too cold for our truck even. He said the truck died on the way to work this morning and he had to leave it at the side of the road. The diesel fuel gelled! Oh my heck...cold, I tell you it is cold!

hahaha He did say we may have to take the new truck out to tow in the Dodge...may have to get a picture if we do. If I can stand being out in the freezing open air that long!
