Skatepark

It's awesome. But sad too. There is a wonderful skatepark going in adjacent to the ballfield and equestrian arena. It is looking good - there is a bowl and a good-size ramped area (don't know actual names) and I know young people are going to love having this new facility. I know of some young people who would have loved having that around when they were kids growing up in our town!

Play Day

We went to a park for a couple hours and the girls had a super time! I loved this particular park because nearly all the playground was shaded by canopies. It was nice to not be blistered by the sun! :)

The little girls gained confidence climbing the rock wall with John standing nearby to support and encourage them. Eventually they scaled the wall with no assistance at all. It was fun watching them go from apprehension to accomplishment.

The swings were a popular destination for the girls, too!

I love watching the girls as they play. Even as they vie for one activity or another, so much of their personality comes through. Each of them display a sense of fairness, taking turns and helping one another. Each of them display leadership skills-so very important in today's world, and they also display an ability to be subordinate-to allow someone else to take charge without being subdued.

I just love these litte girls. They have so many skills, so much love. The future is theirs and it will be so exciting to see how they shape it.

Park Visitors

While at the park with the little ones, Steve and Margret happened by so I was able to get a picture of them to make copies he could share with his family.

And, of course, their little sweetie Kalaya. She's adorable!

TJei and Peja

Peja and Tjei have been best friends for a long, long time. Remember this post?>>>

Peja and her family are relocating to Tucson this weekened and Peja came over to play with TJei after school on Friday. I told Mike after her mom and little brother left that it sounded like Anthony had wanted to stay, too. When I tool Peja home, I asked her mom and she said yes...Anthony had cried, "I want to play with TJei, too" and raised a stink about leaving.

I made plans to pick up Anthony and Peja the next day to have time at the park for playing. He was a happy camper! The girls were, too! There are more pictures of their outing on TJei's blog>>> We're all going to miss those little cuties!

Playing at Park

Mia loves to play at the park and she especially likes the swings. I am so grateful to have this time with the girls. I wish there were more opportunities to spend time with each of my loving little grandchildren.

Autumn Antics

Little Emma and Joseph are two youngsters who were playing at the park while we were there for burgers and birthday cake. Their brother Coulson was there along with mom, Natalie, and he came over to get in a picture, too.
