The Game

I love the game. Simple as that. John was the cause of my love. I really didn't know much about the game back when he was a youngster and wanted to play. Whew! It took a lot to get this league going in the early days but it was so worth it...and much more fun than driving back and forth to RV so he could play!

Kortlynn Herring is TJei's coach and she's given so much to this little team! I've learned from her grandma that Kort decided to coach to fulfil a goal of her Young Women Personal Progress achievements. Thanks, Kort. You made such an indelible impression on these youngsters.

I don't know who all of the little ones are - I know I should, but I don't. The little dark-haired gal at fr left is Ryan Patterson's little girl. The little blonde-haired boy is Rachel (Isaacson) Winter's little boy, and the little gal wearing number 4 on her back is Chris Nielsen's little girl. Just a few names John will recognize. :)

Had to get a pic of Mia in here, too. She's a soccer player wannabe at this point...still too young to play but she loves the game!

This picture is just so cute! Those are little girls scaling that fence to slap their styrofoam cups into the fence for safekeeping.

He Was Here

Philip came and watched TJei's soccer game tonight. We were ate up by mosquitos! The game was fun although it was a low scoring event. I was taking pics of the kids playing and Philip kept weirding out, backing away saying, "You didn't get me in there, did you?"

When I assusred him I was taking pics of the kids and not taking pics of him, he wanted to know why I hadn't taken a pic of him watching the game. "What's wrong, Mrs. Boyle? Why don't you take a picture of me at the game?"

LOL

Last Soccer Game

You'll have to squint your eyes to spot TJei in this picture. She is in a red and blue uniform and of the two little shapes that can be seen in this image, she is on the right. They were all in a little scramble for the ball.

The games start at 5:30 in the evening which makes for some pretty sunsets and long shadows. Speaking of long shadows, see those two on the right side of the picture? Well the silhouette on the left - that long tall thin silhouette - that's me! Don't I look just fab?!?!!
