When they were all done, TJei took a cupcake over to our neighbor to the north. When her teen son opened the door, TJei handed him the bag with the cupcake and said, "Here this is for you." I laughed and reminded her the cupcake was for his mother. After we left, TJei looked at me and said, "Grandma, he really wanted that cupcake." Maybe she sensed something I hadn't, just had to shrug my shoulders.
On the cookie dough, there has apparently been a recall of a popular brand of prepared dough. We didn't have any, I'm not sure I've ever purchased any. I learned of the recall while reading someone's blog ... okay, a stranger's blog. Not someone I know personally, but still. The blog owner had written about Costco calling to advise of the recall ... What on earth? I shop at Costco ... they keep a detailed record of purchases identifiable by individual?!? Oh my heck. Not that I purchase anything really weird - do they even sell weird stuff? It's just spooky to think someone on their system could take a look and pinpoint precisely who made what purchases. -shudder- A little Orwelian for me.
