Party In The Park

It is so hard to believe she is already nine years old! It was fun to celebrate with little cousins and her friends at the City Park. Word to the wise...avoid red icing in the future!

Farewell Coronado

As she readied for the school day, it occurred to me this was TJei's last day in third grade - last day at Coronado Elementary. She was so excited for school this morning. She is excited that her mom is going to pick her up after school, too. Jodie, Mia and TJei are going to Round Valley later this morning. I'm glad she is up to spending some time with them. I should have gotten a picture of Mia this morning. She wouldn't let me do her hair, she decided to do it herself. It is interesting, I'll say that. :)

There was a bit of melancholy this morning, too, when I saw a pic of Diane, Billie, and Ryan on FB. All three have grown up ...we have missed so very much being part of their lives. Billie graduated last night. I'm not sure what her plans for the future are but I know she'll be amazing at whatever she undertakes.

Posers

She Got Me

TJei called me late this afternoon. She was in tears and so distraught. "Grandma, they won't let me go to second grade" she exclaimed through her tears. What, baby? Who won't let you go? What are you talking about?"

"The school" she said. "I missed too many days and they won't let me go to second grade!"

My heart just broke for her. At the same time, my mind raced...what the heck? She hasn't missed that much school. What on earth was going on?

Then TJei squeeled...with laughter. "April Fool's!"

Oh my gosh. The girl got me good. She totally had me believing she was being held back.

Letter for Grandpa

TJei called this morning to ask if Grandpa liked his letter. Oops! I had forgotten to give him the letter she wrote during sacrament meeting.

Yes, TJei, Grandpa liked your letter. :)

Dance Practice

The girls are taking dance classes with Tara Crosby, Precision Dance, and they love being out there performing. In these pictures they are at the SJHS football field learning their line-up for the performance tomorrow during half-time of the Lady Redskins soccer game.

Pictures At The Park

We went to the park this morning to take pictures of the girls. I was trying to get a picture of Mia to use for her birthday celebration announcements. There's a bunch of cute ones to choose from. :)

And, we had fun along with taking pictures. :)

Corrals

TJei and Mia are so infatuated with horses! They are always spotting Black Beauty or Flicka or other horses as we ride along in the vehicle. Having the fairground corrals so close to the house doesn't do me any favors, either. They are always asking to go see the horses. On this day, that's just what we did. I turned in at the corrals and the girls went through admiring all the horses and checking out the colts. They looked so cute as they scaled those rail gates to get a better view. :)

Silly Girl

What a goof! This is probably the funniest smile TJei has ever given me. :)

That's more what I'm used to seeing on her. :)

He Was Here

Philip came and watched TJei's soccer game tonight. We were ate up by mosquitos! The game was fun although it was a low scoring event. I was taking pics of the kids playing and Philip kept weirding out, backing away saying, "You didn't get me in there, did you?"

When I assusred him I was taking pics of the kids and not taking pics of him, he wanted to know why I hadn't taken a pic of him watching the game. "What's wrong, Mrs. Boyle? Why don't you take a picture of me at the game?"

LOL

Bus Stop

There's the school bus. :) Same bus. Same route, Same driver (Mrs. Haws). Same stop, too...right at the corner of the fairgrounds. They aren't using the larger wooden sign this year. I've no idea why. They are using that small poster type sign right there at the left edge of the picture. Have fun reading that as you drive by! :)

And there she is getting off the bus. Look at that smile, she's used to Grandma taking pictures at the oddest times. And she still loves me. :)

It's almost the end of the second week. TJei is loving school. her teacher, friends, and activities. That makes it so much easier. :)

Those Eyes

This girls eyes remind me so much of Jacob's when he was little. They are her outstanding feature, as they had been his. They're captivating. :)

First Day of School

TJei is all smiles on her first day of school. Mia has a bit of apprehension although she is terribly curious about this thing called school. She still has a wait though. :)

A Great Day For A Blessing

Today was a special day. Jodie had made plans for Mia to be blessed today and it is so good to know she now has a record in the church. I am so glad Jodie did the planning and follow-thru to make sure Mia was in fact blessed on this day.

TJei was a mouse or something when she greeted us on arrival. :)

I don't remember why TJei was crying but I told her I wanted a picture and couldn't take
one with her crying. She immediately stopped crying and flashed a smile. What a character! :)

Rinsing Off

The kids are rinsing off after a swim session. Little Davis has a long way to go to catch up on those tans. :)

What A Trio

These three little ones are such characters! They have so much fun together playing at the pool. Poor little Davis has to settle for showering with the girls but I don't thnk he notices any differences just yet. :) I am loving this time with Davis & Daphne up here. It has been so much fun with him at the pool and at the park. It has been so nice. :)

Cheesy

Okay, they got me. Here I was trying so hard to keep my eyes open out there in that bright sunlight and mustering a smile, too. Then, when all is said and done, the two of them are making these cheesy faces! Oh what fun...reminds me of the pic with Quentin and Jacob! :)

Shivering

The clouds moved in and a breeze swept through the air after swim classes today. The girls were shivering as they waited in line for lunch. This summer at the park, the school is providing breakfast and lunch for all children under 18 through some sort of grant apparently. It works well for us, TJei's swim class starts at 9:20am so we go early and the kids eat breakfast before class. Then, Mia's class finishes at 11:30. We stay in the pool and TJei joins us for about 30-45 minutes in the Tot Swim session. So, it is a bit after noon when we finish up ...just in time for lunch! :)

Except today. It was chilly. They endured though. So did I. :)
